What Is World Black Monitor Day?
World Black Monitor Day is a global, voluntary accessibility awareness day focused on building empathy for blind and visually impaired users.
Instead of reading guidelines or attending talks, participants experience firsthand what it means to interact with digital systems without visual cues—using screen readers and keyboard navigation.
When is it observed?
World Black Monitor Day is observed annually on the second Thursday of May.
Participation is Free, Self-guided, Open to Teams Worldwide
